All About Mrs. T

As a teacher, we are constantly reflecting on our practice, learning new skills, evaluating our current projects and making sure they relate to our art & design standards, but also integrate other areas of focus  for our students.... this includes working with classroom teachers to connect what they are learning in the classroom to what they are learning in art; STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) in the art room; CCSS (common core state standards) for English-Language Arts & Math....  All of this plays a role in what we are doing in the Art Room.

Some things about me and my professional growth...

Professional Development Plan (PI-34) for license re-certification 2017:
I will learn new skills, techniques, and lessons so that I may gain further knowledge in my instruction.

I will integrate the common core state standards of math and language arts in the art curriculum I am teaching.  The students will grow in their knowledge of art standards and extend their learning across the curriculum.

Yes... that is a bit about me and the aspirations in my development.

Outside of Howe, I am the Varsity Volleyball Coach & Boys Throws Coach 

at Lincoln High School and I am involved in the winter weight-lifting program.  

I have a great base of family and friends.  

Life is all about our relationships, 

and I am very lucky in life to be surrounded by such wonderful people.
